After a not so eventful day, some not so energetic people met at Subhash! Disha and I sat there looking bored yet excited at the outcome that our minds were at play! The word that was on everyone’s lips… BEER! Frantical phone calls were made to various sources of entertainment, support and other back up phone lists.

An afternoon/evening beer session in the park!

The usual suspects were missing, (submissions are sadistic things)!

We refused to give up on this new mission. More calls were made, people were blackmailed, encouraged and kidnapped. Finally we formed a group of four. :P Disha, Juhi and I trudged to the theka. After suggestions from many coy daaruwalas we came out of the shop and walked towards the park. Latika joined us there.

After a quick re-con we rejected the venue and headed to Disha’s, where two not so usual suspects joined us, Mrinalini and Sheel (not the BEER guzzlers at all). It was an evening not to be forgotten soon.

The absence of Monisha, Pooja, Ravisha, Aashika, and the many others will be missed.

Up, up and away

They rise like the multi-storeys of throbbing metropolises. They are around me, yet I slowly encroach land horizontally and start by digging a foundation. As they soar and overshadow me, I wait and watch, slowly I see that things are fitting perfectly, moving forward steadily. Maybe me lateral growth will be the death of me, or maybe I will be a pioneer!

The tandem between trying everything and picking your favourite! What if you liked all the flavours, and found that you are not allowed to like everything!

When you try to like everything you are told that you escaping from choosing a flavour, why should i try extra hard to like one flavour when I can like all of them equal!

It has grown on me, I never liked Casablanca too much. Saw it a couple of times, but today as I entered my room and caught the last 15 minutes of the film I saw it, the look in their eyes. It was obviously actors et al, but it seemed so real.

Makes me reflect on our lives, that our selfish gains will never give us the opportunity to proclaim such magnanimous gestures of love.

Even if does happen, it probably does we take them for granted and move on with our lives.

But “we’ll always have Paris”. :)

The Throne

The empire was in ruins, save a throne and a few seats. There was a product designer, a graphic novelist, a graphic designer, a photographer, and me. As the novelist sat on the throne, we joked and poked her. The tea was double the size.

I lived it for a while, away from the simple things that constitute my life.

With big words and grand designs in life, suddenly I’m back to Earth. I like both lives, and would be happy fluctuating between the two, or maybe skip and hop in more lives.

Its true.. I think I’m here, for a while at least. I guess that is the most that you can expect. And I love it, I have no one to answer to, I have commitments only to myself and songs are not always attached with intense meanings.

I have

1. Fewer friends, but closer though

2. I have THE ART OF LOOKING SIDEWAYS! :D

3. I have ideas, not necessarily the coolest ones but…

4. I can’t argue anymore, I like the feeling.

5. I’m ready to open up again, but maybe with a little care.

I hope everyone can see my secret garden, it has a wonderful things. :)
